it not that hard but he threw the ball pretty fast so it did not have much time to curve, i can do this but i have to throw the ball slow so it has time to curve

That really all depends on how strong your hook is. I bet this guy had practiced this for a long time and got his shot perfect and did it on all different lane conditions because you can't exactly control them so you might as well practice on them all.

no the ball wouldn't go straight to the gutter, it would grip ten times more. A bowling lane without oil isn't just dry wood, it's schlacked wood that is why it is so shiny even though it is very dry.
